This show. This show was chock full of talented bands, but it was also laced with grief and heartache.
I remember going up to the front to shoot, armed with ziploc bags, washcloths, and a faux leather hoodie to keep me safe from the bloodbaths that were about to ensue.
I remember seeing the faces of Dave Brockie, through the makeup and all the theatrics, and feeling like I too had lost something precious but battled on through the night.
The fans came out, heavy hearts or not. They were there to support and pay respects to Cory Smoot.
